'Big Fish' dress by Jenny Kee, 1979

Flamingo Follies 1979 was held at the Seymour Centre, Sydney. On show were Kee and Jackson's collections inspired by rainforest and sea life. Presented at a time when environmental groups were campaigning to protect the Great Barrier Reef from mining, proceeds from the show went to the Australian Conservation Foundation's Great Barrier Reef action committee. In 1981, the reef was granted World Heritage status.
