Artist Paul McNight became an avid fan of the Flamingo Park shop.

I was a 16-year-old student at the time. I noticed a Koala knit on display and asked if I could lay-by it as it cost $55. This was to be the first of many knits and outfits Moira [Paul's wife] and I collected over the next 20-plus years.
