'Artiste' outfit by Linda Jackson, 1975

In her early collections, Jackson often collaborated with artists to create textile designs for her garments. For the 1975 Flamingo Follies show, she presented pieces inspired by the work of early 20th-century European artists, showcasing her Artiste, Matisse and Cocteau outfits finely handpainted by English artist Charlotte Barnes. These were complemented by artist Peter Tully's jewellery.
