Knit and Print
Central to Kee and Jackson's work is their original textile designs, in the form of knits and prints.
Kee developed a bold graphic style that was interpreted into handknitted garments. As her designs became more complex, she worked with Italian printer Fabio Bellotti of Rainbow Fabrics to capture her artwork in silk.
After establishing her Bush Couture label in 1983, Jackson focused on unstructured garment shapes, giving primacy to her textile designs. She explored unorthodox printing processes, using stencils, gum leaves and string.
